Antique Treen Butter Mould - Exquisite Carved Swan | Farmhouse Decor
Add a touch of historic country charm to your home with this beautiful antique treen butter mould.

Masterfully hand-carved in the shape of an exquisite swan, this rare piece of traditional kitchenalia is a testament to historic craftsmanship and makes a truly wonderful display piece.

The intricate detail of the swan carving brings this block of wood to life. Based on its tight, smooth grain, the wood is believed to be historic Sycamore—the traditional choice for dairy antiques due to its natural resistance to tainting butter.
As an authentic antique, it wears its history proudly. It retains one original wooden peg used to hold the halves secure while the butter hardened. The mould has some historic woodworm holes which have been professionally treated and filled for preservation. To finish, it has been given a light coats of premium wax to nourish the timber and beautifully enhance the warm, natural grain of the wood.
Perfect for collectors of English antiques, lovers of rustic farmhouse decor, or as a standout sculptural feature on a kitchen dresser.
